Scope and Contents
Box 1 - Content includes (but is not limited to) experiences on the Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and dealing with Veterans Affairs (VA). Additional subject matter includes poetry and literary writings, Chicana/a academic departments, Spanish classes, cinema, and thoughts on racism and sexism.
Box 2 - Thirteen notebook journals and diaries. Content includes (but is not limited to) reflections on working in the military, thoughts on Marxism and capitalism, writers groups, cartooning classes, road trip documentation from Grand Canyon, Sierra Nevada, Palm Springs, and Joshua Tree.
Box 3 - Ten notebook journals and diaries.Content includes (but is not limited to) competitive running and reflections on friendships.
Box 4 - Eleven notebook journals and diaries. Content includes (but is not limited to) critiques of corporations, President Clinton, and traveling.
Box 5 - Nine journals and diaries. Content includes (but is not limited to) philosophies about the human condition
Box 6 - Four notebook journals and diaries. Content includes (but is not limited to) political volunteer work, gay pride at Los Ranchos and West Hollywood, friendships, and personal reflections on safety, “Captains Logs”, Palo Duro, LGBT senior group meeting, and writing/poetry group.
