Watercolors
Scope and Contents
Pat Gargaetas's art and photography includes hundreds of prints and negatives of women's portraits, some of which have been framed or published as photobooks. Other artwork featured are watercolors, drawings, and graphics.
Gargaetas's personal papers are made up of her master's thesis in anthropology at California State University, Sacramento and the questionnaires and interviews she conducted. Some of the interviews are preserved on tapes. Additionally, there are poems written by Gargaetas on feminism and spirituality and documents pertaining to legal and financial matters.
Gargaetas kept numerous articles on spirituality, astrology, academia, and presidential elections. There are also news clippngs, guides, and posters from music festivals, performances, and community events.
Physical epherema consist of a collection of books and anthologies relating to women, lesbianism, poetry, and music. Additionally, Gargaetas saved clothing and buttons that feature lesbian and feminist slogans.
