The collection contains 49 pinback buttons of varying shapes and sizes. There are buttons related to lesbianism, LGBT life, AIDS, political activism, and feminism.

Some materials in the collection discuss sensitive topics such as sexual assault, domestic violence, and reproductive health. A content warning has been included in the box content list for items the processing archivists identified as containing this triggering and harmful content.
