The collection consists of correspondence between friends, lovers, and her mother (about her life in the military); photographs of trips, friends, her children and partners; and memorabilia from the sports teams she played on and political organizations she was a part of. Also included are unpublished works of poetry and plays by Jetter.

Biographical / Historical

Betty Jetter was a lesbian activist and community member. She was a part of the Califia Community, San Fernando Valley N.O.W, and other local organizing groups. She served in the Navy and later worked for the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab. She was active in sports and played on a high school hockey team and softball teams. She also was in the NOW marching band.
