Biographical Note

Pat Williams is a retired building and maintenance engineer who spent her 32-year career on helpign women seek jobs in the trades. She joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and the International Union of Operating Engineers after college which jumpstarted her career.

She was an operating engineer, running building HVAC and managing the maintenance of buildings throughout the Los Angeles and Long Beach area. In the trades, she was discriminated against because she was a woman, a Lesbian, and a union official.

Pat Williams is a retired engineer and was involved in national tradeswomen organizations, trainings, conferences, and events.
