Dr. Marie Cartier Collection
Marie Cartier (b. 1965) is a teacher, poet, writer, healer, artist, activist and facilitator. She also has a first degree black belt in karate. She currently teaches at the University of California Irvine in the Film Department, and at CSU Northridge in the Women's Studies Department. The materials include student projects from her Queer Studies class at CSUN, her dissertations and research, LGBT and feminist materials, and resources and research on abuse.
Pat Gargaetas Collection
Patricia (Pat) Gargaetas was a photographer who lived in California. The bulk of this collection includes prints and negatives of Gargaetas's photography, featuring primarily portraits of women from the 1970s. Other materials include personal documents, poems written by Gargaetas, interview transcripts and questionnaires for her master's thesis, articles and clippings, books on lesbianism, buttons, clothes, and various ephemera.
Kate Rosenblatt Collection
Katherine (Kate) Rosenblatt (1922-2009) was a lesbian, playwright, poet, and activist for older women. This collection includes her play scripts, published poetry, organizational materials for the West Coast Old Lesbian Conference, and various periodicals, newsletters, and lesbian and feminist writings.
